Crime prevention tip:
Kent Police Department has been seeing Vehicle Prowls where the suspect breaks a window to pop the trunk and steal the purse hidden there. While that seems like a good idea, don’t park in the lot, open your trunk and deposit your purse, laptop, etc, right where suspects can see that’s what you’ve done. Hide the items before you get to where you’re going, don’t take them at all, or take them inside with you.
Some of these have been happening at LA Fitness, but occurs in other parking lots too. When it happens, there is probably a suspect sitting somewhere in the lot watching people arrive, opening their trunk and then going into whatever they’re going into.
