Around 9:30 p.m. last night, May 2, Kent police officers responded to a shooting at a Kent residence in the 20100 block of 93rd Pl. South. When they arrived, a 37-year-old male was lying on the ground and a 38 year-old male was standing near him with a gun.

According to a press release from the Kent Police Department, the male with the gun cooperated with officers and was immediately detailed. Medics and officers stabilized the male who had been shot once in the torso and once in the leg. The shooting victim was conscious when he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Kent Police say the two men knew each other, and the incident occurred after some sort of dispute. The Kent PD is investigating to get additional information from the scene and witnesses.
