The Kent Community Foundation, Rotary Club of Kent, Kent Sunrise Rotary Club and the Kent Area PTSA Council are teaming up on June 6 to honor 34 Kent area students who will receive a combined total of $46,350 in scholarships.

Kent Community Foundation will award 18 scholarships totaling $29,250; Rotary Club of Kent will award eight scholarships totaling $9,600; Rotary Club of Kent Sunrise will award four scholarships totaling $3,000; and Kent Area PTSA Council will award four scholarships totaling $4,500.

“We are so proud of these hard-working students, and we are excited to be able to help them fund their education through the scholarship funds that the Kent Community Foundation manages,” said Dee Klem, Kent Community Foundation president. “This is an exciting time for these Kent students, and we are honored to be able to watch them as they take that important next step in their academic careers.”

Parents, friends, family, educators and the Kent community are invited to help celebrate this year’s scholarship winners. The event is free, but registration is required. Light refreshments will be served following the event.
