Along with 180 pounds of processed marijuana and $3 million cash.

A citizen’s tip last march led investigators to a house in the 8600 block of 118th Avenue SE in Newcastle, Washington, sparking an investigation that resulted in the discovery of dozens of large scale, residential marijuana grow operations throughout King County.

The five-month investigation resulted in the seizure of 6,000 marijuana plants, 180 pounds of processed marijuana, and $3 million in cash, as well as five houses believed to be purchased with proceeds from marijuana sales.

Last week King County Sheriff’s Office detectives served search warrants on 27 locations throughout King County. Five people were arrested for multiple charges, including the manufacturing of marijuana.

The locations of the warrants and ages and hometowns of the arrested suspects will be released by the King County Sheriff’s Office later this week.
