Kent News: Car Storage Yard Fire Burns Five VehiclesPuget Sound Fire Department Engine 71 arrived on the scene to discover the fire was in the middle of several vehicles being stored in the lot and moved to an access gate off Central.

Despite the difficulty of getting to the fire, crews were able to douse water on five burning vehicles. Division 7 arrived and took over command of the fire, and added another fire engine. The combined water from all three units extinguished the fire.

No one was in the vehicles at the time, and all members of the fire crews are safe. The Puget Sound Fire Investigator estimated the loss to be less than $1,000. The cause of the fire is unknown.
