Volunteers are needed to help with the Kent Rotary’s ‘First Harvest’ on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 8:30 – 11 a.m.

This work party will be held at the Northwest Harvest Kent Warehouse, located at 22220 68th Ave S. in Kent (map below).

Rotary First Harvest work parties are a fantastic way to get involved in Rotary’s fight against hunger. They happen every second Saturday morning at the Northwest Harvest warehouse in Kent. Help pack food gleaned from regional growers that is distributed to food banks serving families and individuals in need.

Space at the work parties is limited. Please visit the RFH website to reserve a space for yourself and your guests. http://www.firstharvest.org/

You’ll be working in a warehouse, so be sure to dress appropriately:

  • On your feet: Volunteers must wear closed-toed, flat shoes for safety. No sandals or flip flops. Tennis shoes or other flat shoes are fine.
  • On your body: Please wear comfortable, casual clothing and dress in layers. The warehouse can be chilly for much of the year. In the summer, it can be quite warm, but shoulders and underarms must be covered. Volunteers who do not come with the required shoes or clothing will be unable to volunteer with us for that shift.
  • Jewelry: Please leave all jewelry at home. It may not be worn in the food packing rooms.
