‘Broadway at Kent’ is a new dance program presented by Seattle Theatre Group and the Kent Senior Activity Center, and they’ll be holding a dance workshop on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.

Participants are invited to take 90-minute classes inspired by Broadway shows being presented at the Paramount Theatre, such as The Color Purple which opens June 27, 2018.

The first dance workshop, Class #65920 will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the Kent Senior Activity Center’s Social Hall located at 600 East Smith Street in downtown Kent. Please note, this class is not taught by a Color Purple company member. Broadway at Kentis taught by local Seattle dance choreographer Nikki Long who has lived and danced all over the world.

The workshop is open to students 14 and older as well as adults and seniors.  Pre-registration is required and the $5 fee may be paid in person (at the address above) or by phone (call 253-856-5150 weekdays with a MC/Visa). Participants must sign a waiver form before class begins. All who complete the workshop may receive information on how to acquire a code for discount tickets to the Paramount Theatre’s Production of The Color Purple, opening June 27 in Seattle.
