The city of Kent Parks senior choir – known as “The Smooth Tone Singers” – will present a free summer concert on Friday, Aug. 17 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Room 6 of the Kent Senior Activity Center at 600 E. Smith Street in downtown Kent.
Ruth Fleming directs the a cappella songs but also provides piano accompaniment for selected musical pieces. She is assisted by Kay Payne. Additional singers are welcome to join and more information is available by leaving a message at the number below.
There is no fee or pre-registration required for the summer concert, however, guests requesting extra space for mobility equipment are asked to call 253-856-5150 weekdays or 253-856-5164 to leave a message evenings or weekends.
