The Kent Police Department is inviting all to join them for a community meeting on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at Neely O’Brien Elementary School (6300 S. 236th St.), beginning at 7 p.m.

The focus of this meeting is to bring police leadership and community members together to address community crime concerns and introduce resources that Kent Police can provide to assist community members in making their neighborhoods safer and more secure.

This will be a great opportunity to talk with Kent Police Chief Raf Padilla, Kent Police Department Command Staff, and other Police Department personnel about current crime trends, prevention and police department programs. The special presentation will be on Homelessness.

A cornerstone of the Kent Police strategy for creating safe communities is Intelligence Led Policing. This practice uses real-time crime intelligence, sharing information with our partners, pro-active problem solving, and community partnerships to address the issues of crime while improving the quality of life.

For additional information about this scheduled community meeting, please contact 253 856-5883 or go to www.kentwa.gov/police.
