UPDATE NOV. 7, 2018: In what’s likely to be the closest race in the region, Rep. Joe Fain’s lead over challenger Mona Das – which was 247 in Tuesday night’s first returns – has shrunk to just 90 votes.

This is a change of 36.4%.

For comparison, in the Nov., 2014 election, Fain handily beat challenger Carol Barber by over 9,300 votes.

This second round of results were posted on Wednesday, Nov. 7; the next update will be late Thursday afternoon, Nov. 8.

As we previously reported, Fain was accused of rape in 2007 by a woman named Candace Faber (read more here).

  • Joe Fain (Prefers Republican Party): 22,000 • 50.1%
  • Mona Das (Prefers Democratic Party): 21,910 • 49.9%

Total Votes (not including write-ins): 43,910
