The National Weather Service has issued a ‘High Wind Watch‘ for the Puget Sound region – including the Kent area – for all day this Friday, Dec. 14.

Experts say to expect south winds from around 40 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph, starting Friday morning around 10 a.m. and continuing through around 6 p.m.

This means the potential for snapped branches, fallen trees and power outages.

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
