DESCRIPTION:Car enthusiasts and community members are invited to the fourth annual LIUNA Local 242 Car Show on Saturday\, Aug. 29\, with all proceeds benefiting the Des Moines Food Bank. \nAccording to an event flyer from LIUNA Local 242\, the family friendly event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the LIUNA 242 Hall\, located at 22323 Pacific Highway South in Des Moines (map below). \nThe event is open to LIUNA members and car enthusiasts and will feature raffles\, trophies and music. Organizers are charging a $10 registration fee for vehicle entries. \n\nFood also will be available for purchase\, including hamburgers\, chips and a soda for $5\, and hot dogs\, chips and a soda for $5.
