On Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, Kent Police Officers responded to the American Legion Hall in Kent for a report of a shooting where two young adults had been shot.

Police say that at the time of the incident, there was limited information, as well as some uncooperativeness from the victims.

Kent Detectives continued to investigate the case with the limited information that was provided. Detectives were able to develop leads and with the help of the US Marshals, they have made an arrest in the case.

A 15-year old male suspect from Des Moines – who has a 2018 gun possession charge – has been taken into custody and booked for Assault in the first degree and Attempted Murder.
