Take a self-guided tour of artwork from Kent area students.

In celebration of National Youth Arts Month, starting Monday, March 13, artwork from more than 550 students at 29 Kent School District schools will be on display throughout downtown Kent and at Kent Station for the 23rd Annual Kent Student Art Walk. The art walk is presented by the City of Kent Arts Commission, Kent Downtown Partnership, Kent Station and the Kent School District.

More than 27 downtown and Kent Station businesses will display the art, including paintings, sketches and sculptures in lobbies and store windows. Student art will also be on display at the Centennial Center Gallery (400 W. Gowe St., Kent, WA 98032), Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

In addition, an opening night reception for artists, their families and the community is scheduled for Thursday, March 16, from 5 PM to 7 PM, at the Centennial Center Gallery. The reception is the same night as Kent Downtown Partnership’s Third Thursday Art Walk, rain or shine. The event is sponsored by the Kent A.M. Kiwanis Club.
