Free self-guided and leader-guided walks in Kent

Through the Kent 50 + and Kent4Health programs, the city is hosting Trail Walks this summer with self-guided walks every second and fourth Wednesday from 9 AM to 11 AM and leader-guided walks monthly at 11 AM. All walks are free, family-friendly and pet-friendly.

Here is the summer schedule:

Self-Guided Walks: Second and Fourth Wednesdays, 9 AM to 11 AM

June 14: Interurban Trail, Meeting Place – Kent Commons
June 28: Green River Trail and Riverview Park, Meeting Place – LA Fitness
July 12: West Fenwick Trails, Meeting Place – West Fenwick Park
July 26: Green River Trail & Frager Rd., Meeting Place – Van Doren’s Landing Park
Aug. 9: Soos Creek Trail, Meeting Place – Gary Grant Park
Aug. 23: Green River Trail & Briscoe Park, Meeting Place – Three Friends Fishing Hole
Sept. 13: Morrill Meadows Trails, Meeting Place – Morrill Meadows Park
Sept. 27: Puget Power Trail, Meeting Place – Kent Commons

Leader-Guided Walks: Monthly at 11 AM

June 18: Heron Loop Trail, Meeting Place – Van Doren’s Landing Park
July 23: Clark Lake Park Trails, Meeting Place – Wilson Play Fields
Aug. 20: Lake Fenwick Trails, Meeting Place – Lake Fenwick Park Boat Ramp
Sept. 17: Rabbit Loop Trail, Meeting Place – Hogan Park at Russell Road
Nov. 12: Natural Resource Area, Meeting Place – Van Doren’s Landing Park
