Karrell Taylor, a 25-year old motorcyclist, was killed Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 2, when he collided with a truck near Willis and Washington near SR 167.
Police say that Taylor was driving a motorcycle when he collided with a truck at about 2:39 p.m.
Numerous traffic units arrived within minutes, and found the victim had struck a truck that was turning to get onto SR 167 from Willis.
Life-saving efforts were immediately undertaken but unsuccessful, and the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the truck was cooperative and consented to a blood draw. He did not appear to be under the influence of any substance. Preliminary information indicates the truck had a flashing yellow arrow, but the motorcyclist may have been traveling at an excessive speed.
Traffic investigators processed the scene and collected evidence as they continue their investigation.
First of all, he was only 23. Also, there’s no way that he “may have been traveling at an excessive speed.” He was very adventurous and outgoing, but he was never selfish enough to put others in danger by speeding.
