Meet (and adopt) Jake, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Jake is a 4-year-old male Foxhound who is looking for his forever home! He was surrendered by his previous owners when they needed to move to a new home that wouldn’t allow dogs.

Jake is fully house-trained and has pretty good leash manners! He has lived with other dogs his size and has done well. He may like being part of a multi-dog household again.

Jake is a true hound and LOVES the sound of his beautiful voice! He would do best in a home where his vocal nature is appreciated, and neighbors won’t mind hearing from him regularly. Baying (a loud, long howling-type bark typical for hounds) is something he’s been doing his whole life and it is unlikely that he will be able to completely stop this behavior. He may be able to be trained to bay and bark less, but he will always be a talkative boy.

Jake is 72 pounds, neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! His adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and snuggles he will give, including 30 days of opt-in health insurance through Trupanion, a discount on online training from GoodPup and a $40 credit from training through Rover.

As Pet of the Week, Jake’s adoption fee has been reduced!

If you are ready to fall in love with this talkative pup, go visit Jake at RASKC! RASKC is open weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
