The Kent Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications from graduating high school seniors planning to pursue careers that directly serve and strengthen the community.

According to the Kent Community Foundation, eligible fields include behavioral and mental health, social work, human services, education, arts and cultural programs and other service driven professions.

“Kent high school seniors, this is your moment,” the foundation said in announcing the scholarship opportunity.

Foundation leaders are encouraging parents, teachers, counselors, coaches and community members to share the opportunity with graduating seniors who may qualify.

In 2024, the foundation awarded 49 scholarships to 38 students, totaling more than $100,000.

“A quick share could make a real difference in a student’s next chapter,” the foundation said.

The deadline to apply is Mar. 15, and students can explore available scholarships, review eligibility requirements and submit applications at:
