Meet (and adopt) Dugan, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Dugan is an 11-year-old Rottweiler mix looking for his forever home.

Dugan is an affectionate love bug who would be thrilled to hang out with you at home. He’s an easy-going guy, so would prefer a house he can wander around in and have the couch and bed to share with his people.

His prior owner says that he’s a known “trash panda.” If a trash can is or food is on the counter, Dugan will claim it as his own. Pizza is his favorite thing to steal from humans…it’s so good!

Dugan is a member of RASKC’s playgroup pals! Shelter staff can share which dogs he has met and how he interacts with other dogs. Dugan previously lived in a house with a small, calm dog and did well with him. He would do best with a slow introduction to any current pets in his new home and for the whole family to meet him at the shelter (children and/or dog) so he can meet them in a neutral location.

Dugan is allergic to chicken which causes his skin to break out and get real itchy. His caretakers have been following a very simple routine – not feeding him chicken and occasionally giving him baths – to help with his allergies. He is doing amazing and has already regrown most of his fur.

Dugan weighs 74 pounds, is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and snuggles he will give, including a King County pet license (if applicable) and a $40 credit for training through Rover.

As Pet of the Week, Dugan’s adoption fee has been reduced.

If you are ready to fall in love with this easy-going, affectionate guy, go visit Dugan at RASKC! RASKC is open weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
