Kent Police are investigating a fatal double shooting late Tuesday night, April 7 that left two men dead in a residential neighborhood.
Officers responded at 10:22 p.m. on April 7, 2026, to the 21000 block of 120th Place SE (map below) after receiving multiple reports of gunfire, according to the Kent Police Department. Callers reported hearing an argument before the shooting and said vehicles were leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
When officers arrived, they heard someone yelling behind a residence and located two people who had been shot. Officers began lifesaving efforts until crews from Puget Sound Fire arrived, but sadly, both victims died from their injuries.
Police said the victims were a 25-year-old Seattle resident and a 26-year-old Federal Way resident. Their identities will be released by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives are continuing to process the scene and interview witnesses. The suspect or suspects remain at large, but investigators believe those involved knew the victims and that the shooting was not random.
