On Friday night, Sept. 20, 2019, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in Kent.
Officials say that just after 7:30 p.m., authorities were alerted to the fatality, which happened in the train crossing area near South 259th and Willis Street (map below).
Once emergency crews arrived, they found the victim deceased in a ditch on the west side of the tracks.
No injuries were reported on the Amtrak train.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
