Downtown Kent will get a burst of color, music, and creativity when Cutie Fest takes over 2nd Ave between Meeker and Gowe streets on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The one-day event coincides with the final day of the Kent Farmers Market, offering visitors a chance to enjoy art, music, and local shopping in a single stop.

Organizers describe Cutie Fest as “a happy place” designed to celebrate self-expression, indie artists, and cozy aesthetics.

“This is a safe, inclusive space for cuties of all kinds — so come as you are and bring your friends for a fun day in downtown Kent,” the Kent Downtown Partnership said in its announcement.

Artists and makers will be set up both outdoors along the street and inside local businesses. The event is presented in partnership with the Cutie Foundation and Living Well Kent, with more than a dozen businesses hosting artist pop-ups, from bakeries and boutiques to fabric shops and bookstores.

Visitors can stop at locations such as Sure Lock Escapes, Sweet Themes Bakery, Retro Emporium, and Page Turner Books to meet artists, shop handmade goods, and explore downtown businesses.

Free parking will be available at Kent Station and near Titus Street, making it easy for families to attend.
