On Tuesday, June 18, the Kent Rotary swore in its new President, officers and board of directors.
The new President is Erik Olsen, pictured below (left) with outgoing President Don Gregory.
Erik graduated with honors from the University of Washington in 2007 with a BA in philosophy, and received his JD from Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. At Gonzaga, Erik was an Associate Editor for Gonzaga’s Law Review and Journal of International Law, was awarded 3L Associate Editor of the yea, and worked in the Legal Assistance Program, providing pro bono services to the local community.
Erik has held most of the positions for the South King County Bar Association and is also a member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Washington State Association for Justice and the King County Bar Association.
Erik has also assisted Kentwood high school’s mock trial team and been a mentor in the Communities in School program in the Kent School District.
