Several parks, trails and recreational facilities in Kent were closed Friday due to flooding impacts, with officials urging residents to avoid levees and flooded areas as conditions continue to change.
Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services said the Green River Trail is closed throughout the city as of Dec. 19, and standing water has also forced closures and restrictions at multiple parks.
Barricades are in place where trails and park access points are closed, and officials warned the public not to drive, walk or bike around them.
