Several roads in Kent were closed Wednesday morning, Dec. 10, 2025 after flooding left water standing over the roadway, according to the City of Kent.

The closures were in effect as of 9:15 a.m. Dec. 10, with the duration listed as 9 a.m. until further notice.

City officials said traffic control is in place and drivers should use alternate routes.

Road Closures: 

  • NEW: W. Valley Hwy/68th Ave S./Washington Ave S. is closed from Frager Rd to S 277th Street. 
  • S 277th Street from 108th Ave SE to 83rd Ave S./Auburn Way N.
  • 148th Ave SE from SE 256th Street to SE 249th Street.
  • Green River Road from the S. 277th Street overpass to Kent city limits.

The city urged motorists to plan ahead and expect delays as flooding continues to impact roadways.
