The Kent Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing vulnerable adult who left his residence on foot Tuesday afternoon, Mar. 30, 2026.

Reynaldo Cantu, 62, was last seen around 3 p.m. leaving a home in the 24800 block of 45th Place (map below). Police said he took all of his belongings except for his cellphone and money and has not returned.

According to police, this is the first time Cantu has left the residence and taken his belongings.

Cantu has the cognitive abilities of a 4 to 6-year-old and is under a doctor’s care. He has his medications with him, but it is unknown whether he will take them.

Police said Cantu is familiar with public transit and may attempt to travel by Amtrak to Oregon.

He is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded jacket, a blue zip up jacket with a white stripe and yellow collar, blue jeans, gray and white shoes and a Seahawks baseball cap.
