A King County man was charged Friday, Dec. 12, 2025 with two counts of second degree assault, first degree arson and a felony drug offense after prosecutors said he pointed a pistol at two Kent Police officers and later set fires inside an apartment while officers waited for a search warrant.

Kenyon Ramon Lamb, 48, is accused of assaulting two Kent Police Department officers with a deadly weapon, described in the charging document as a pistol. One officer fired his weapon when Lamb opened the apartment door and immediately pointed a handgun at them.

As we previously reported, Kent Police assisted the Seattle Police Department early Wednesday, Dec. 10 in locating the suspect, who was inside an apartment in the 11100 block of SE 208th Street in Kent.

The arson charge alleges he knowingly and maliciously caused a fire or explosion that damaged that dwelling.

Prosecutors also charged Lamb with possession with intent to manufacture or deliver cocaine.

In a bail request filed by the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Stephen A. Herschkowitz asked that bail remain set at $500,000, writing:

“High bail is required in this matter based on the defendant’s danger to the safety of the community as well as a flight risk.”

Prosecutors said Lamb is alleged to have pulled a gun on two Kent police officers during an unrelated assault investigation, then barricaded himself inside the apartment.

Defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
