Police in Kent are investigating a shooting Friday morning that left a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers responded around 11:42 a.m. April 24 to the 25000 block of 116th Ave SE (map below) after a 911 caller reported an adult male lying on a porch who appeared to have been shot.

When officers arrived, they found the Kent man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and began life saving measures. Personnel from Puget Sound Fire and Medic One took over treatment and stabilized the victim.

The man was then airlifted by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center for further medical care, police said.

Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting and have not released information about a suspect or motive.
