Kent Police detectives are investigating a homicide after a man was found fatally wounded Sunday night, Nov. 23 at the Kent/James Street Park and Ride, according to a statement from the department.
Police said officers were dispatched at about 8:46 p.m. Sunday night to the transit lot at 900 W. James Street just east of the ShoWare Center (map below), after a caller reported hearing several gunshots, followed by additional shots and the sound of a vehicle leaving the area.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male with multiple wounds. Police said officers immediately began life saving measures until Puget Sound Fire personnel arrived and continued treatment.
Sadly, the victim died at the scene.
Police Seeking Information
Detectives are awaiting confirmation of the man’s identity and are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
