Kent’s annual 4th of July Splash returns to Lake Meridian Park on Friday, July 4, featuring live music, food trucks and a fireworks display over the lake at 10 p.m.

The free event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with park gates opening and free shuttle service beginning at 3 p.m., according to city officials.

No personal fireworks, stopping, or drop-offs will be allowed at the park this year, and ADA parking will be available on site.

All park gates will close and lock at midnight.

Kent Police Chief Rafael Padilla reminds residents that personal fireworks are prohibited within city limits.
