The 13th annual Kent Turkey Challenge collected 7,321 food items and $13,618 for the Kent Food Bank this year, according to information released by Torklift in Kent.
The annual drive brings together local businesses, organizations and residents in a friendly competition to support families in need during the holiday season.
Organizers said this year’s results demonstrate the continued generosity of community members who take part.
Torklift will recognize top performing participants at the Kent City Council meeting on Dec. 9.
“We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who participated this year,” said Jasmyne Faborito, Kent Turkey Challenge organizer. “The Turkey Challenge shows the great effort from the community and it is inspiring to see the impact year after year.”
The event will return for its 14th year in 2026.
