On Friday, Nov. 30, King County Councilmember Dave Upthegrove visited the World Relief refugee resettlement offices in Kent — one of his favorite organizations.
“I’ve enjoyed partnering with them by providing a County van, providing $ from my office fund to expand Soccer Without Borders from Seattle into Kent, and helping secure significant funds from a King County water quality grant and a King County Flood Control District grant for the Paradise Plots community garden in Kent,” Upthegrove said. “They surprised me with a nice recognition and thank you banner with notes from staff and clients. It made my week.”
