The King County Medical Examiners Office has identified Michelle Latrice Harvey, 35, as the driver killed in a collision involving a car and a Metro bus Wednesday, Sept. 16, in Kent.

Harvey died from multiple blunt force injuries, and her death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner.

Three people aboard the bus were injured and taken to a hospital, the King County Sheriff’s Office said.

The medical examiner listed the collision location as South 277th Street and Auburn Way North (which turns into 83rd Ave South).

The car was stolen and likely struck the bus at a high rate of speed, according to the sheriff’s office. Its Major Accident Response Team is investigating.

Emergency responders provided aid, but Harvey died at the scene. The bus driver was not injured, according to the sheriff’s office.

The road was closed for several hours following the collision.
