The Kent Police Department is reporting that a man was found shot dead in an apartment in Kent early Friday morning, Nov. 8, 2019.

Police say that on Friday morning at around 2:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Row Apartments located at 25614 98th Pl S. (map below).

When officers arrived, they located a male subject with multiple gunshot wounds inside. CPR was immediately started until Kent Fire and Medics arrived on scene to continue lifesaving efforts.

Unfortunately, Medics declared the subject deceased at the scene.

At the same time, officers were conducting a K9 track for a suspect, and located a second male with a gunshot wound to his leg at French Field. Fire and Medics were also dispatched to this location and this subject was later transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation showed the two subjects may have known each other and does not appear to be a random incident. The reason for this shooting is still under investigation.

Kent Detectives are currently on scene and interviewing witnesses.
