Meet (and adopt) Whisp, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Whisp is a 3-and-1/2-year-old female dog who’s ready to light up your life!

Whisp arrived at RASKC in early March after being abandoned at a park with all her belongings. When she first came in, she weighed just 35 pounds and was very underweight. With lots of care and regular meals, she’s already made amazing progress and is up to 42 pounds! Her healthy goal weight is around 45–50 pounds and she’s well on her way.

At first, Whisp wasn’t sure about people, can you blame her? Once she realized she was safe, her true personality started to shine. Now she’s all about love, attention, and giving as many kisses as you’ll allow. Whisp is a sweet, affectionate girl with a bright, bold spirit—very fitting for a Leo zodiac sign.

Leos are known for their big hearts, confidence, and love of being around their people—and that’s Whisp to a tee! She adores attention, thrives on connection, and brings a warm, joyful energy wherever she goes.

Whisp is an active pup who loves to run, play, and go on long walks. If you’re looking for a companion to keep you moving and smiling, she’s your girl! Whisp can be a little jumpy sometimes, but that’s just her excitement bubbling over—she’s so happy to meet new friends. The good news is she is very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding for both of you!

Whisp has met some dogs at the shelter and seem to do well with pups her size. If you have a dog at home, RASKC always recommends bringing them by for a meet-and-greet so we can see if they’re a perfect match.

Whisp has been through a lot but hasn’t lost her sparkle. She’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will love her, guide her, and let her shine like the star she is!

Whisp is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! Her adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and snuggles she will give, including a King County pet license (if applicable) and a $40 credit for training through Rover.

As Pet of the Week, Whisp’s adoption fee has been reduced.

If you are ready to fall in love with this shining star go visit Whisp at RASKC! RASKC is open weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
