A motorcyclist was arrested early Thursday morning, June 26, 2025 after attempting to flee a Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper on southbound SR 167 near S. 212th Street, striking the open door of a patrol car and damaging the vehicle.
According to WSP, the rider had been observed speeding and performing stunts prior to the attempted stop at a red light.
When the trooper tried to make contact, the rider fled but collided with the open door of the patrol car during the attempt to escape.
The rider then tried to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.
He was booked into King County Jail for felony malicious mischief for causing damage to the patrol vehicle.
Additional charges include reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and hit-and-run.
The motorcycle was impounded for 30 days.
