On Saturday, the Kent Police Department, Mayor Dana Ralph and Target helped make Christmas a bit merrier for 45 Kent kids and their families at the 5th annual ‘Shop with a Cop’ event.
“Thanks to all who donated, all the amazing volunteers and Kent Youth and Family Services for making today possible.”
Also, King County Sheriff’s Deputies – along with several other Police Departments – held their own ‘Shop with a Cop’ in Covington.
Organizers say that 700 underserved children from around the county all received a photo with K9 Tino, new toys, and had a positive experience with a police officer.
“Our thanks to Maple Valley and Covington Rotary for their continued support of this wonderful event.”
