Registration is now open for the 15th annual Kent Cornucopia Days Fun Run and Walk, scheduled for Saturday, July 14, at 9 a.m.

According to Kent Parks program coordinator Mark Hendrickson, the race has become a summer tradition for many residents throughout Puget Sound.

“The course is U.S. Track and Field certified and is one of the few flat courses in the area. We’ll have awards for the top five finishers in each age group. Participants age 60 and over run for free courtesy of Kent Bowl,” Hendrickson said.

Hosted by the Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Servicers, the race entree fee is $10 or $25 (with a technical T-shirt) before July 13.

Register online at Active.com or pick up registration forms at the Kent Commons and many Puget Sound athletic stores.

The race starts at Three Friends Fishing Hole, 20025 Russell Road, near the Hydroplane Raceboat Museum. Ample Parking is available at Iron Mountain Storage and Columbia Distributing

Avoid the lines on race day – pick up shirts and bibs on Wednesday, July 11 between 3 and 7 p.m. at Road Runner Sports at Kent Station.

Race day registration and packet pick up is also available near the start/finish line at 7:30 a.m.
