REMINDER: Small business owners interested in expanding into government contracting still have time to register for the Kent Chamber of Commerce’s Membership Luncheon this Thursday, July 9, featuring a presentation on how to position businesses for government contracting success.

The luncheon will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Green River College’s Kent Campus (map below).

The featured speaker will be Cedric Austin of the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, who will provide practical guidance for businesses looking to pursue government contracts.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Prepare their business for government contracting opportunities.
  • Navigate registration and certification requirements.
  • Receive notifications about available contract opportunities.
  • Build a strategy for working with local, state and other government agencies.
  • Access resources designed to help small businesses succeed in the public procurement process.

The workshop is intended for both businesses new to government contracting and those looking to strengthen their existing approach.

Registration is $25 for Kent Chamber members and $40 for non-members. Vendor tables are available for $150, and sponsorships are $300.
