Kent Police are reporting of a stabbing incident on the east hill has led to the death of a Kent man on Monday, Sept. 14, 2020.
Police say that on Monday morning at 4:37 a.m., Kent Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 10900 block of SE 238th Street (map below).
Witnesses reported that the suspect used a knife to stab the victim following an argument. According to witnesses, the incident did not appear to be random.
Officers were advised by 911 callers that they could see a subject laying in the parking lot motionless following the sounds of an argument.
Upon arrival officers located an adult male in his 30s in the parking lot with multiple lacerations, and he was unresponsive. Two officers immediately began lifesaving efforts including applying a chest seal and performing chest compressions. These efforts continued until Medics arrived and took over.
Unfortunately, the victim did not survive his injuries.
Investigators were called to the scene and are working to identify and locate the suspect.
“At this time, we are not releasing the name of the victim,” police said.
