Two residents, a dog and two cats were rescued from a second-floor balcony Wednesday morning, Aug. 12 during a two-alarm apartment fire in Kent, according to Puget Sound Fire.
Puget Sound Fire, Renton RFA and the Valley Regional Fire Authority responded Wednesday morning to the fire in the 23600 block of 101st Place SE (map below), officials said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in about one hour, according to Puget Sound Fire.
Four residents were treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Apartment management and the Red Cross are assisting residents with housing and other emergency needs, officials said.
