Police found a 14 year-old and a 17 year-old with multiple gunshot wounds on the 2200 block of S. 272nd St. Saturday evening at 10:40 PM. They are at Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries, but they are expected to survive. They seem to have been involved in some sort of confrontation before shots were fired. Police found two guns nearby that they believe belong to the victims. Both boys have a history of criminal activity, police said.

A resident of the area heard five or six semi-automatic rounds, but at the time thought it was firecrackers. Authorities don’t currently have any shooting suspects, as of Sunday afternoon, and don’t yet know if it is gang related.

Police also responded to a shots fired call at a nearby apartment complex a few minutes prior to the shooting call. They found a vehicle with multiple bullet holes but they haven’t found a connection made between the two calls at this time.
