On Friday night, Mar. 2, the Kent Downtown Partnership Raptors took on the City of Kent Knights in a soccer scrimmage at the accesso ShoWare Center.
Each team had staff and members – along with some ringers – playing, with the City team coached by Mayor Dana Ralph and the KDP group led by Executive Director Barb Smith.
In the end – and despite the noble efforts of Kent City Councilmembers Bill Boyce and Toni Trautner – it was a bit of a blowout, with the KDP Raptors trouncing the Knights by a score of 9-4.
