The Washington State Patrol is seeking the public’s help finding the hit and run driver who killed a man on SR 518 in Burien early Friday morning.

WSP says that at approximately 1:47 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, Troopers responded to a report of a serious injury collision on the ramp from Des Moines Memorial Drive to eastbound SR 518.

Once Troopers arrived they were able to determine that a Chevrolet Blazer was out of gas and in the gore point at the top of the ramp. The passenger in this vehicle was standing outside the vehicle on the passenger side, when a Utility truck, similar to the red one pictured below (left), was traveling up the ramp, drifted onto the left shoulder and struck the Blazer and the passenger.

Tragically, the 44-year old male passenger was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center a short time later.

This vehicle then left the scene eastbound on SR 518 and was not located after a thorough search of the area by multiple agencies.

This vehicle also lost a bag of rugby balls (pictured below, right) during the collision (click image to view larger version:)
