The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle in Kent on Friday, Dec. 26, along with the death of her unborn child.

The medical examiner identified the woman as Jessica Vasquez, a 37-year-old Seattle resident.

As we previously reported, she was tragically injured in a roadway collision near the intersection of 108th Avenue SE and SE 224th Street in Kent.

According to the medical examiner, Vasquez died from multiple blunt force injuries.

Sadly, the medical examiner also identified a fetal death resulting from the same incident. The unborn child, listed as Angel Vasquez, died from intrauterine fetal demise due to maternal multiple blunt force injuries, according to the office.

Both deaths occurred following the Dec. 26 incident at the same Kent roadway location.

The case remains under investigation by Kent Police.

Everyone at South King Media extends their deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved Jessica and her unborn baby.
