From the Kent Regional Fire Authority via Kent Police Department:

An adult male was killed Saturday evening (November 19) after a small car crashed through the exterior wall of his apartment.

Kent RFA firefighters were dispatched at 6:22 PM to a report that a vehicle had struck an apartment building in the 10800 block of SE 240 Street, Kent. When they arrived, they found a small four-door import that was more than halfway inside of a ground floor apartment.

Entering the apartment, firefighters found several people home. Firefighters were forced to jack the car up in order to get to the victim, but were unable to revive him. No one else was injured.

The two people in the vehicle were not injured, but were examined by firefighters. Both were interviewed by Kent Police. Neither was detained or arrested.

The identity of the victim and the cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. More information on the cause of the crash will be released by Kent Police next week.
