The African American Leadership Forum Northwest and community partners will host a Candidate Town Hall from 6–9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, to give residents an opportunity to hear from candidates running for local offices.

The event, titled The Future of Kent: Candidate Town Hall, will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Kent Lutheran Church (336 2nd Ave. S.; map below).

According to event organizers, the forum will feature candidates for Kent City Council and King County Council District 5, including:

  • Sharn Shoker, running for Kent City Council Position 6
  • Andy Song, running for Kent City Council Position 6
  • Neet Grewal, running for Kent City Council Position 2
  • Satwinder Kaur, incumbent for Kent City Council Position 2
  • Steffanie Fain, running for King County Council District 5
  • Peter Kwon, running for King County Council District 5

The event is free and open to the public.
