Steel Magic Northwest, the region’s only independent non-profit steelband organization, will present its annual “Carols on Barrels” concert on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m. at the Kentlake High School Performing Arts Center, the organization announced.

The event will feature performances from all three levels of Steel Magic Northwest’s youth steel orchestras. The most advanced ensemble, the Pan Wizards Steel Orchestra, is recognized as one of the top youth steelbands in the United States.

According to the organization, the concert will blend steelband music with traditional holiday favorites, incorporating classical, pop, reggae and additional musical styles.

Organizers describe the show as family-friendly with broad multigenerational appeal.

The concert is free and open to the public. A suggested donation of $15 per person for ages 12 and older will be accepted at the door.
