Kent Police officers arrested a domestic violence suspect Friday evening, Feb. 13 after locating his vehicle with the help of a ‘Be On the Look Out’ (BOLO) alert and Flock Safety camera notification.

Police said the suspect was wanted in connection with a Dec. 20, 2025 domestic violence assault in King County in which he allegedly struck the victim with open hands and fists and strangled her until she lost consciousness. Authorities noted the suspect had prior incidents of significant violence and was believed to be armed with a gun.

The King County Sheriff’s Office issued a BOLO alert, advising law enforcement that the suspect was known to frequent the Kent and Auburn area and had been eluding capture on charges of second degree assault domestic violence and felony harassment, according to Kent Police.

Around 5 p.m. Friday, Kent patrol officers conducting routine patrol near the 25600 block of 116th Avenue SE received a Flock Safety camera notification indicating the suspect vehicle was nearby. Officers moved toward the last known location, where Officer De Var quickly located the vehicle.

Several officers conducted a traffic stop in the 24300 block of 116th Ave SE (map below). Police said the suspect complied with commands and was taken into custody without incident.

His vehicle, described as a 2017 Chevy Silverado, was impounded at the request of King County so a search warrant could be served for evidence related to the case, according to the Kent Police Department.

“Great job by the officers immediately seeking out the suspect vehicle after the Flock notification and safely taking a dangerous suspect off our Kent streets,” police said in a statement.
