Kent Police are investigating a suspicious death on the East Hill as a homicide following a response to a 911 call Thursday morning, Mar. 26.
According to police, patrol officers were dispatched at about 10:10 a.m. Thursday to a residence on the East Hill after a report of CPR in progress.
Officers located an unconscious 50-year-old Kent woman and began CPR, which was later continued by Puget Sound Fire personnel.
Sadly, lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kent detectives responded and are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the death as a homicide, police said.
